shops. Huelgoat is 8 kilometers distant and is a very pretty little town
set beside a lake and surrounded by fascinating boulder-strewn forests.
Carhaix-Plouger is a larger town with some beautiful mediavel buildings,
a full range of shops and amenities and a fantastic music festival

drive west or north or a little longer South with unspoilt beaches and

close to the Monts de Aree National Park which is a wild and windswept
moorland area. The whole region is great for indulging in all sorts of
outdoor activites - mountain biking, hiking, parascending, sand
yachting, canoeing and many others.
Roscoff (5-6 hours from Plymouth with
www.brittanyferries.com is one hours drive, quicker if it's quiet on the
roads (which it often is) and it's about the same distance to the
airport at Brest. www.flybe.co.uk flies from several UK airports to this
ideally situated, small airport including Exeter (35 minutes). Other
ferries serve routes such as Portsmouth to Caen.
Plouye Village
Plouye has small shops for those little essentials as well as three
bars, including the Welshmans pub, Ty Ellez,!
The village has a beautiful church with a spire which can be seen from
miles around. Plouye is a quick drive, a 30 minute walk or a 15 minute
cycle from Gouled Treo Bihan.
Déolen is a coastal town in Brittany in France.
Déolen has a popular surfing beach. It is 12 kilometres from Brest and
21 kilometres from the Brest International Airport.
